Yet another money making blog is Dosh Dosh. This blog has a ton of detailed "nuts and bolts" information for how to gain traffic and earn money with your blog. The posts are organized in neat squares on the front page with short introductions and links to "continue reading."

All in all, this is one of the better making money blogs out there and there are no ads for penis enlargement!

The one thing that bothers me about this blog is the use of anime' pictures for each post header.

Anime is low budget animation from Japan that looks like a fourth grader put together. Why readers would equate anime' with making money is beyond me. While it is incredibly popular,it can't hold a candle to Bugs Bunny, Road Runner et al.

Anime' despite its artistic faults and rinky dink frame animation is incredibly popular worldwide. Perhaps Dosh Dosh is using the anime' theme to attract the hordes of grade school children seeking to make money blogging.

Or perhaps he's trying to attract the crowd that has oodles of Burger King's Pokemon toys from a few years back.

The emotive expressions of each anime' character tend to be indicative of the content for the posts. While the content is more than enough to keep a reader very busy, I find myself staring into the oversized eyes of the characters as I surf the blog seeking the answers to my questions.

This semi hypnotic effect non withstanding, I simply can't take the blog seriously when the best anime' character of ALL TIME is nowhere to be seen!

Make sure you don't get caught blogging without Pops' approval or Blogger X will need to save you!

Goof on John Chow

Welcome to the first official goof for Just Goofin' !!

The goof crew will be goofing on Money Making Blogs as a genre for the first group of posts. We have to limit the the number of goofs on Money Making Blogs because there are so damn many of them.

The first victim is John Chow dot Com. Now this is actually a very good blog. Mr. Chow is a web veteran with lots of technical knowledge and it certainly shows on his site. It is also a "one stop shopping" spot for monetizing ideas, the latest widgets, blogging trends and where to get the best Dim Sum in Toronto. The guy doesn't do many things wrong-as long as grammar and spelling errors don't get your shorts in a bunch. Even though he's a self professed "Evil Genius," he has a heart: the proceeds from his blog go to charity. All in all, both the man and the blog are professional, informative and just plain good.

Just a couple of things bug me however.

Go to John Chow dot Com and you will see a list of "Featured Sites" on the right near the top of the page. These sites contain the usual array of affiliate nonsense including a "make money online with my 'secret system'" deal, a Forex Trading deal, a Penis Enlargement deal...

WHOA. Penis enlargement? Does Mr. Chow believe that people reading his blog don't have email? Next to mortgage offers, penis enlargement is probably the most prolific spam email topic on the face of the earth. Before I tweaked my spam filters, I started calling it "Pmail." So after spending time searching his blog for insightful suggestions at blogging success, just pop to the top of the page for info on what's really important: having a big dick. Search the affiliate site and you'll find "Long Schlong Exercises." The intro reads:

The Long Shlong technique is also known as The Power Stretch technique. The Long Shlong is set of exercises that were designed to stretch and enlarge the penis. This may be an exercise that will help lengthen, but it will also help with the fitness of your penis.

Everyone knows the importance of "penis fitness." The instructions for the technique follow:

# Warm-up thoroughly
# Start with a flaccid penis
# Take the tip of your penis below the head
# Stretch your penis out (away from you), hold for 15 seconds
# Repeat the above steps for a couple reps
# Relax & gently massage the head of your penis
# Stretch your penis to the right, hold for 15 seconds
# Relax & gently massage the head of your penis
# Stretch your penis to the left, hold for 15 seconds
# Relax & gently massage the head of your penis
# Repeat for the desired number of reps

I don't know about anyone else, but that sounds like masturbation to me. If that was what I was interested in, there are plenty of other sites more suited to the activity than Mr. Chow's!

Another thing, akin to masturbation, is that John pimps Agloco. This is a classic pyramid scam that will likely never get off the ground. John is simply the biggest Pied Piper in this classic "ride the wave" hyped bit of nonsense.

Money Making Blogs

If you read blogs or you are interested in making money online, you are undoubtedly familiar with "The Money Making Blog."

These blogs are proliferating on the internet faster than Tom Brady at a Super Model's convention. Do we really need another blogger to tell us that AGLOCO is a really cool way of making money online? By the way, AGLOCO hasn't created anything-except a lot of "ride the wave" hype for a product that, if it ever launches, promises to be a clunky toolbar add-on. There are rumours that AGLOCO is actually a U.S. government sponsored tool to spy on internet searching and cache the information for use in implementing the oppressive Patriot Act. At least the government sponsorship theory explains AGLOCO's excessive hype and consistent inability to deliver on the browser's release.

The funny thing about many of these money making blogs is that while they harp on how to make money, they're making very little themselves. Anyone with an internet connection and a brain knows about Paid to Post. 126,743 "how to make money" blogs aren't going to enlighten anyone on how the company works. And if I see another one of those "countdown until my blog is 90 days old" widgets I might just punch my laptop. I wait with baited breath to read each new "how Joe Schmuck Blogger Made Eight Bucks Writing for Paid to Post" blog entry. Gee, eight bucks. Now I can send my kids to college.

There actually are a few good "how to make money blogging" blogs out there. They are not Just Goofin's concern.

We want to find the really bad ones. We will be merciless. Stay tuned....
